I had a great night, especially loved the modern design and the included breakfast buffet, which was quite good, although it didn’t change much during my stay.

Great-sized room with a lot of space. Convenient check-in, wonderful and fantastic location really close to the nearby mountains, the river and the cathedral, and the local restaurants and pubs.

Absolutely great accommodation with amazing setting short walk to the train station as well as the shore of the river Aare. Tasteful, bright room with a private bathroom and a shower, a hair dryer, and terry dressing gowns. A wide array of meals for breakfast, including cheese and meats.

Very good location, just across the river from the old town. The view from the penthouse bar is excellent. The staff is professional. Free car parking just outside the hotel, if you manage to find a place.
We had a wedding and wanted to go around 12.30pm approximately, as we needed to prepare ourselves. The service lady was konking the door on several ocassions insisting in making the room, even if we were staying one night more, so would be no issue for them to wait. Also most of the staff has limited English. Other than these two things, everything was good.

Cheese and meats for breakfast for the cooked food. Very good building, wonderful location near to pedestrian area, the train station and the old town, and Switzerland for 6 days in different hotels...

The views from the hotel are fantastic, especially the panoramic sights of the old town and the beautiful baroque cathedral. The spa area is surprisingly good, providing an excellent space to unwind after a busy day.
Housekeeping is a bit of a letdown. Returning to a room that hasn't been made up until late in the day is frustrating. Breakfast can be chaotic, marked by long lines at the coffee machine and insufficient supplies , surprising for this caliber of hotel.

I have stayed there a number of times. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small-ish but very comfortable and clean
Public computer in entrance hall never seems to work.

Helpful reception, proximity to centre. The room though smallish was very comfortable, and we slept well. Good view of the river.
How do you describe something you don't like, without it being a form of complaint ? We found the current roadworks in Solothurn called for some initiative on finding how to arrive. On question (below) about guest reviews, can't remember what they said, but we expected Ramada to be ok. We stayed in Solothurn as being in easy reach of Basel for a one day visit.

View over Solothurn, river, cathedral and Jura. Room design, floor to ceiling windows, wow effect.
Breakfast not included, surprise at settling the bill. 120 dollars for coffee and croissant ??? (Buffet was wonderful, but if you can't stomach a full meal in the morning...)

The location offered fine views of the Aare River and charming old town. Housekeeping was inconsistent, with instances of unmade beds and inadequate cleaning. Breakfast was nice but a bit pricey for what was offered. A good choice for amazing views and a central location, but some attention to detail would improve the experience.
